Jaw-Dropping Christmas Wreaths - 18 / 20 DIY Gifts Under $20

Activity 18 of our '20 gifts Under $20' series!! This Christmas gift is so unbelievably gorgeous (and easy!) they won't believe their eyes!

Gift #18 – Jaw-Dropping Wreaths

With your All The Colours paint set already on hand, you’ll need:

  1. Thin ribbon or string - $4
  2. Cardboard (anything from the recycling bin is fine)
  3. Sticky Tape & Scissors

Total Spend - $4

Step 1

Using any white paper (such your ATC art pad paper), ask your child to paint some designs, patterns or colour blocks. For a 30cm wreath, we used three sheet of painted paper.

Step 2

When dry, cut out your painted sheets into leaf shapes. We didn't use any stencil for this, but roughly aimed for 5-7cm length leaves. You can give them a little crease in the middle (length-ways) to make them look even more live leaves!

Step 3

Using your recycled cardboard, cut an approximately 30cm disc to mimic the shape of a wreath. Then, start sticking your leaves on until you've worked your way around the entire wreath.

And that's it! The MOST MAGICAL, impressive and utterly simple wreath to gift to someone special in your life. They will absolutely love it.

Merry Creating!

xx
