Rainbow Scrape Notebooks - 10 / 20 DIY Gifts Under $20

Activity 10 of our '20 gifts Under $20' series!! This special Father's Day Edition gift is going to know his socks off!

Gift #10 – Rainbow Scrape Notebooks

With your All The Colours paint already on hand, you’ll need:

  1. Paper Notebook - $9.95 from Officeworks AUS
  2. Old Gift Card / Bank Card or similar - $0 from your wallet

Total Spend - $9.95 (Note - I bought three but that's breaking the $20 rule...)

Step 1

Start by putting small dots of paint directly on the front cover of the notebook.

Step 2

Then, using your old card, scrape the paint across the surface of the cover. Create any pattern or design that you like! As you'll see at step three, my little kids went for a 'scrape it everywhere' kind of vibe! I on the other hand went for a marble look which might be a good idea for older kids.

Step 3 (Optional)

Using any scrap pieces of paper, the kids might like to cut out some messages or words to tailor this for Father's Day! Stick them on with craft glue if this is something they're interested in.

Step 4

That's it! Once they're dry, wrap it up (or all of them together if you made multiple like us) and gift to one lucky fella!

Happy Creating!

xx
