Halloweeeeeeen Hack

Interior Halloween Decorations Sorted In 15 Minutes... Yes!

We love a little bit of Halloween fun in our house, but to date we have NEVER been organised in advance. I am unashamedly the mum scrapping the bottom of the barrel for Halloween leftovers at all the shops around with one day to spare.

If this sounds like you, please don't do anything too wild like being proactive or organised this year. Just follow these simple steps and you'll be (literally) laughing...

You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Markers
  • Blue Tack or Sticky Tape
  • Scissors
  • Any Costume Headwear (Hats, Wigs, etc)

Step 1: Get the kids drawing

Using a marker on plain white paper, ask the kids to draw all kinds of different eyes and mouths. This is wide open to interpretation and their own creative flare -  think crazy eyes and a spooky mouth? Or giant lips and grumpy eye brows? Maybe cat eyes and wolf teeth?

Step 2: Cut & Stick

Cut around the spooky facial features and pop a small piece of blue tack or sticky tape on the back.

Step 3: Get Spooky

Ask the kids to make spooky faces using their cutouts, on regular house hold items. Maybe it's a funny lamp, or a witchy vase? Why not try a howling cushion, or a scary wall hanging. Once the kids have made their faces, finish them off with some  hats, wigs or similar - whatever you might have in your dress up box. The results are so unique, and actually super cute!
