Want to add a personal touch to the family presents this year? Put those kids to work, and let them unleash their creativity with personalised creative wrapping paper!
What You'll Need
Before we dive into the exciting world of DIY wrapping paper, let's gather our supplies. Here's what you'll need:
- A roll of plain white or brown craft paper (or even an old newspaper if you're feeling extra eco)
- Paints (or even markers / coloured pencils if preferred)
- Paint brush
- Glitter, baubles, ribbons, or any other embellishments you fancy
- Coloured card
Get Ready To Unroll
Roll out the paper on a flat surface that is paint splatter friendly. Let the kids go wild adding their own designs and images. You can prompt them with ideas like - 'What are some patterns you could try?' Or, 'Could you show me some of your favourite things?'.
Add Embellishments
Once the paint is nearly dry, you can add extra elements such as stamps, stickers, glitter - whatever their little hearts desire!
Wrap It Up
Now that they've created super gorgeous, one-of-a-kind wrapping paper, it's time to add some extra flair. Once you've wrapped the gifts with the kids, grab some ribbons or string to attach small items such a bauble and a name tag. We used coloured card to create name tags and a hole punch to loop them into the string.
Happy Wrapping!
